On J anuai:y 1, 1923, in the hamlet of S. Pietro Capofiume, a band of Fascists broke into the house of a workman nameo Mainardi Francesco, and beat him until the blood came. Another ,vorkman in the same .house, Rubini Pietro, shared his fate. · On the 2nd, in the same hamlet, a Fascist band broke into the house of the farmer Frazzoni Augusto and threatened him with death because· he was a member of the· General Confederation of Labour. On the 4th the foreman Schiassi Francesco, of Miravalle (a village in the Commune) was fallowed ·by a Fascist ,vho shot at him and, coming up to him, seized him and took him to the house of the secretary of the Fascio, ordering that he should be beaten. On the 6th, Fascists insulted and cuffed a working woman named Piazzi Lidovina in Molinella. On the 6th two working women, named Violetta and Giuseppina Zagni, ra~ into the piazza of 11olinel1a to rescue their father Zagni Attilio from Fascists ,vho w·ere trying to force castor oil on him. The two women were beaten. On the 6th, in Molinella, a workman, Bianchi Gelindo, was beaten till the blood came. On the 7th a workman, Martelli Filippo, was beaten by a Fascist. On the 10th a workman, Cocchi Angelo, of the hamlet of Marmorta, was attacked and beaten in front of his own house by a Fascist. On the 16th a workman, Bandiera Virgilio, of the same hamlet, was followed and shot at by a Fascist. On the 16th a workman, Mainardi .Luigi, o'f the same hamlet was beaten by Fascists on two occasions when he was returning from work. * * * * * .
