Interrogations - anno VI - n. 17-18 - giugno 1979

spropositatamente i prezzi. So here's the « new » Interrogations. Twice as long, with its contents on one theme, and entirely in Italian (the French, English and Spanish summaries are gathered together, for tecnica! reasons, in the back of the magazine). Still international, as can be seen, as regards contributors, concerns and cultura! style, despite the Italianization in language. Stili anarchist, of course, but as always open to those, intellectuals or militants, who share our appresensions and our desire for clarity, whilst not adopting an explicitly anarchist position. In this number we are, in fact, publishing a dozen contributions to the preliminary discussions Jeading into the international study-conference on self-management (Venice, 28-30 September 1979) promoted and organized by Interrogations and the Centro Studi Libertari of Milan. In the presentation of the first number of Interrogations we wrote: « To define what this magazine intends its proper task to be brings us back to a listing of what is lacking, in this final quarter of the twentieth century, in libertarian thought ( ... ) The question is one of an effort to attain clarity, lucidity. An effort which must, in the first piace, be brought to bear on the verification and extension of anarchist theses on the role of the state and on the formation of a new ruling class, two closely connected phenomena. This updating cannot proceed without parallel studies on the mutations of society (... ) In a word, what we intend is to make known and to make use of the forces, organizations, experiences and endeavours which oppose themselves, throughout the world, to the movement towards centralizations, towards the reduction of human beings to raw materiai (labour force or armed force) and reject the mand scarble for might and power ». The ambitions we started out with were set according to necessities. The sixteen numbers so far published bave given the measure of our capacities and of our possibilities, which can obviously only match up in small part to the exigencies of the libertarian movement in the matter of studies and analyses of the present enabling effective parti4
