tuation, the lateness with which this issue has corne out being an obvious symptom. The reason, we believe, is to be found mainly in the four language format of Interrogations, which forms an obstacle for the average reader that his/her interest in the contents cannot certainly overcome. It is our opinion, in tact, that so far we have provided an important and original contribution to libertarian culture, and this has been confirmed by the replies we have received from the questionnaire which was sent to our subscribers. Notwithstanding this, because of the 4 language format, subscriptions and sales have been going down, rather than increasing, and are already at a level (about 1500 copies between sales and subscriptions) which is lower than both what we had hoped and also the economic possibilities of survival. The optimal solution ( which has always been among our ambitions and for four years has constantly been proposed over and over again at each meeting, including this last one) would be that of bringing out four parallel editions, each one produced in one of the four languages. Unf ortunately, both our editorial and financial resources prevent us from doing this. In the same manner,these limitations also prevent us from realizing the project, often mentioned before, of handing over the editorship to another language group. The comrades actually able of taking it on are already occupied with other activities of equal importance and requiring equal effort, and cannot, consequentily, take charge of Interrogations. Therefore, the editorship must be the task, for yet one more year, of the Italian group which has occupied itself with it for the past two years. But this would be of hardly any use if the four language format were to be retained. It would mean, in fact, the immediate cessation of publication, given the size of the deficit and the certainly of not being able to caver this with sales and subscriptions. A drastic revision of the general format of the review is therefore necessary, in order to guarantee to readers and subscribers the continuation of publication during 1979. With this aim in mind, Interrogations will maintain its international character as far as the subiect matter and the « origin » of the articles is concerned, but it will be edited entirely in Italian. In this way we hope to achive (apart from a reduction in costs) a notable increase in numbers distributed at least in one of the four language areas in which we are present. For readers in the other three areas, the summaries in French, English and Spanish will be particularly carefully worked out and increased in size. Further, we hope that other anarchist and libertarian publications, produced in these languages, will wish to frequentily include in their pages, the articles, in their original languages, which we will be translating into Italian. Each time this happens, we will be pleased to announce it in Interrogations. Even the frequency of its appearance will be modified. Instead of the usual four i~sues per year, we will bring out two double issues, each of winch will be centred on a specific theme, though not exclusive/y so. In other words what we intend to offer our readers, instead of a periodical on diverse topics, is a series of virtually monographie dossiers whose greater depth, richness and fullness of content will compensate for less regular appearance. (This number, which presents three analyses from different points of view of the current Spanish libertarian movement, can be considered an example of what we intend to do). We are confident that such a spaced out and less dated presentation will 6
